Sri Lanka Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) has arrested a Pakistani couple attempting to smuggle a stock of heroin worth Rs. 30 million.
The suspects a 30 year-old woman and a 54 year-old man were in the possession of 2.7 kilograms of heroin when they were arrested by the PNB officers this morning.
Police spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said the stock of heroin was found concealed in the suspect’s hand luggage.
