The Parliament will convene at 10 AM today (08) as per the decision reached by the party leaders at the Committee on Parliamentary Business chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena on Monday (07).
As discussed in the meeting yesterday (07) this week’s Parliamentary sittings will be limited to Tuesday (08) as a precaution to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
The Parliament will be held from 10 AM till 4:30 PM, Dhammika Dasanayake, the Secretary-General of Parliament said.
