The biography of Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, published in Chinese, was handed over to the Prime Minister at Temple Trees on Friday

The biography of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe authored by Sampath Bandara has been translated into the Chinese Language by Prof. Chang Yu and Prof. Yin Zhishan.
It has been published by the Yanshi Press at China’s Book Publishing and Promotional Company in China and by Sarasavi Publishers in Sri Lanka.
This is the first time that a comprehensive biography of a Sri Lankan head of government has been conveyed to Chinese readers.
Following the presentation of the book to the Prime Minister, the spokeswoman of the Chinese Publishing and Promotional Institution said its bookshops and libraries across China will popularize the book among the Chinese public
Discussions were also held with the China Book Publishing and Promotional Organization and the Sri Lanka Book Publishers Association on the compilation of a Chinese encyclopedia.
By now, the relevant Chinese company in collaboration with India has compiled an Indo-China encyclopedia.
Discussions will be held between academics and professionals on the Sri Lanka China Encyclopedia. Proprietor of Sarasavi Publishers H.D. Premasiri said that these talks are scheduled to be held tomorrow and the day after.
