The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health stated that a 64-year-old male resident of Kochchikade, Negombo had died from the virus.Reportedly, the deceased had suffered from a heart attack as well as a chronic respiratory illness.
Currently, 122 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Sri Lanka while 104 patients are under observation.
