Political parties, independent groups submit nominations for LG Elections
Thirty-three political parties and twelve independent groups have deposited bonds for the upcoming local government elections.
The submission of nominations for the elections continued in several areas on Tuesday as well.
The UPFA submitted their nominations for the Nawalapitiya and Pasbage Korale Pradeshiya Sabhas today, at the Kandy District Secretariat.
The JVP deposited bonds for the Kandy District, while the Janasetha Peramuna deposited bonds for the Nawalapitiya and Pasbage Korale Pradeshiya Sabhas.
In the meantime, the Janasetha Peramuna deposited bonds for the Welivitiya Divitura Pradeshiya Sabha at the Galle District Secretariat.
The UPFA submitted nominations for the Neluwa and Hikkaduwa Pradeshiya Sabhas.
