Thirty-three political parties and twelve independent groups have deposited bonds for the upcoming local government elections.
The submission of nominations for the elections continued in several areas on Tuesday as well.
The UPFA submitted their nominations for the Nawalapitiya and Pasbage Korale Pradeshiya Sabhas today, at the Kandy District Secretariat.
The JVP deposited bonds for the Kandy District, while the Janasetha Peramuna deposited bonds for the Nawalapitiya and Pasbage Korale Pradeshiya Sabhas.
In the meantime, the Janasetha Peramuna deposited bonds for the Welivitiya Divitura Pradeshiya Sabha at the Galle District Secretariat.
The UPFA submitted nominations for the Neluwa and Hikkaduwa Pradeshiya Sabhas.
The Sri Lanka Freedom Party on Monday submitted nominations for the Ja-Ela Urban Council, Wattala Mabola Urban Council and the Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha.
The UPFA submitted nominations for Badulla Municipal Council, Haputhale Urban Council, Lunugala Pradeshiya Sabhas, Haldummulla Pradeshiya Sabha, Badulla Pradeshiya Sabha in the Badulla District at the District Secretariat.
The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna submitted nominations yesterday, for the Trincomalee Urban Council, the Kadawatha Pradeshiya Sabha, Kinniya Pradeshiya Sabha and the Galnewa Pradeshiya Sabha.
The United National Party submitted their nominations for the Weligepola Pradeshiya Sabha in the Ratnapura District.
Two independent groups had submitted their nominations for the Balapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha in the Galle District and the Bandarawela Pradeshiya Sabha in Badulla District.
The accepting of nominations for the ninety-three local government bodies commenced on Monday and will end at 12 noon on December 14.
