Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 79 runs to lift Tri Nation Trophy

Sri Lanka produced another clinical all-round display to defeat Bangladesh by 79 runs in the final of the Tri Nation Series at Mirpur, Dhaka yesterday. Having posted 221 in 50 overs after winning the toss, Sri Lanka bowled out Bangladesh for 142 in 41.1 overs. Winning the toss and batting was the ideal championship thrust for the Lankans with opener Upul Tharanga firing upfront with a composed top score of 56 off 99 balls. His knock was packed with 5 boundaries.
