The administration of Sri Lanka’s Rajarata University in the North Central Province has decided to close three faculties in the university due to a viral illness spreading among the students.
Vice Chancellor of the Rajarata University Prof. Ranjith Wijewardene said administration has decided to closes three faculties until the 26th due to chicken pox spreading among students.
It has been decided to close the Faculties of Social Sciences & Humanities, Applied Sciences and Technology Sciences at Mihintale Campus from yesterday afternoon.
It has been reported that 44 students of these three faculties are ill with chicken pox and several others are ailing with diarrhea and a viral fever.
