Three individuals have been arrested for assaulting the Chief Incumbent of the Sri Vivekarama Temple in Kapuwatta, Weligama.
The Chief Incumbent is currently receiving treatment at the Matara Hospital and told the police that a sum of Rs 15, 000 was stolen by the person who assaulted him.
Investigations are underway to find another suspect involved in the attack, Sri Lanka Police stated.
