Self-employment were distributed to women in fisher households in the Matara district under the patronage of the Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Dilip Wedaarachchi.
The self-employment tool kits were handed over to 156 women of fisher families on Saturday (02) at the multi-day fishing trawler owners’ association hall in Kotuwegoda, Matara.
Each tool kit distributed is valued at Rs. 23,000 and the value of the tool kits distributed among 156 women exceeded Rs. 3.3 million, the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development said.
