A group of protesters surrounded the house of Minister and Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MP Shantha Bandara yesterday.
MP Shantha Bandara was recently sworn in as the State Minister of Agriculture, despite the SLFP having quit the Government due to the worsening economic crisis.
The protesters had surrounded the Minister’s house to voice displeasure over his decision to accept a ministerial portfolio from the current Government.
They had called on the Minister to step out of his residence after surrounding the property.
