Sri Lanka Police reported that a construction worker was found dead inside the basement of a construction site located down Duplication Road in Colpetty.
A search carried out by authorities until this morning resulted in the discovery of the dead man.
The deceased died after the basement was flooded following Tuesday’s (Dec 29) heavy shower.

According to reports, workers at the construction site had been sleeping in the basement after their day’s work and when the basement was flooded, they managed to climb out unaware that one person was missing.
