A bus traveling from Akkaraipattu to Colombo has been taken into police custody.
Police seized the vehicle in Namal-Oya at 11 pm yesterday (30).
The 48 passengers, and the driver, and the conductor of the bus have been arrested for flouting quarantine law and will be produced before the Ampara Magistrate’s Court today (31).
Inginiyagala Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
