Chairman of the Sri Lanka Medical Council, Professor Colvin Gunaratne has stepped down from his position.
Professor Colvin Gunaratne had submitted his letter of resignation this morning (August 02) to Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, a spokesperson for the Health Ministry said.
Professor Colvin Gunaratne, a veteran medical practitioner assumed duties as the Chairman of Sri Lanka Medical Council in October 2017.
The tenure of Chairman of Sri Lanka Medical Council is valid for a period of 5 years.
