Dhammika Perera: Public need not worry about Dollar crisis

Sri Lankan philanthropist and Billionaire, Dhammika Perera says the public need not worry about Sri Lanka’s dollar crisis.

During an interview with Hari Tv, Mr Perera stated that Sri Lanka can pay back the US$ 29,6 billion the country is required to pay back in the five years in loans.

Mr Perera said that if a phone company like Apple Inc. can make a profit of US$ 23 billion in three months,  Sri Lanka’s debt of US$30 billion in loans is not a large amount in his point of view and that the public does not need to panic about it.

People should not worry over the debt crisis from a single person’s point of view, as it should be addressed from a country’s point of view, he noted.
