All the liquor shops in Kandy, Pathadumbara, Meda Dumbara, Kundasale, Akurana, Pannila and Katugastota Divisional Secretariats will be closed from 7th March until further notice, the Excise Commissioner General’s Office announced.
The decision has been taken to curtail the violence escalating in the region despite the state of emergency.
All liquor shops in Polonnaruwa district will be closed after 4 pm until further notice, the announcement said.
