We all irrespective of the age, have dreams. Or at least “had” dreams. A dream to do things, a dream to live a certain life, a dream to work in a certain place, a dream job; above all a dream to live a “life”. Maybe dear reader, at this point or the juncture of life, some of you might be experiencing a bitter chapter, some might be living in the happiest moments of your life and some might be living the dull, neutral, monotonous and what not adjectival life in which, each new day is same as the other with same “obnoxious” daily tasks like waking up, remembering unfulfilled official work, getting stressed about it and then gulping down something, getting dressed up and leaving for the job that you at some point of life, have learned to hate. Sometimes, you may not have time even to ponder that you hate this “ho-hum” life of yours. Well this is about you.
When you were kids, you had such dreams about your future. Isn’t it? When the question “who would you like to be in the future?” is asked when you were a child, you might have given several answers like becoming a teacher, a doctor, an engineer which are general answers while some of you might have given answers like becoming an astronaut, a writer, a dancer, a musician, an athlete or even an artist or a traveler. But how many of you have become the exact person you’ve mentioned many years ago? Only a very small percentage of people according to my opinion. Although your childhood fantasies broke off with age and new passions overwhelmed you, only a very few people are able to fulfil their exact dreams.
It might be true that you are living a comfortable life. But the riff is, whether you are comfortable and happy with the ‘way’ you ‘earn’. Are you earning a living through your passion? The most common answer would be of course, a “no”. The reason I am stating thus is that I have met only a very few people who are earning through their passion or simply living their dream. The rest of them are clearly complaints of how tired are they of their lives, running a rat race to earn money, to fulfill targets, to live a comfortable life according to the standards of the society. After all, like Bob Dylan says “What is money? A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.” But does man always gets the “chance” to do what he wants to do? Unfortunately, no.
Sometimes I get this particular thought that this is like a race to achieve unfulfilled potentials. People tend to discover new goals in life which they envision those as prospects in their lives that they need to accomplish in order to obtain a good life and struggles to achieve them despite stopping for a moment and thinking of what do they really want in life. Whether a new luxurious house or a car of a latest model or just to wander in a mysterious jungle and camp. But on the other hand, the point is that even though people might be having these passions like the latter inside their souls, they are not earning them any money or material comforts. So they fall to the same pit of unlimited competition to reach their life targets once again.
But is it really impossible to live in your dream? The answer is ‘no’. It is possible. There’s always a way. You can make your passion, your work. And there are numerous examples of personalities who did it. The thing is that you must find a way. If directly speaking, a way to become rich through your passions. You might start small but remember there’s always an opportunity lying ahead of your path to guide you to your dreams. The dream once you had in your mind that you will become like this one day or you will be the owner of such a brand or that you’ll work in Google headquarters in California, be a YouTube star like Superwoman or Dude Perfect, a RJ like Ryan Seacrest, a TV host like Jimmy Kimmel, Ellen or Oprah, a journalist or anyone that you yearn to be is only at the distance of a radical step. A brave step that will decide your future, your happiness and contentment. All you have to do is to believe in your capacities and strengths and turn your passion into your way of earning money. “Pursue your passion. If you’re passionate about something and you work hard, you will be successful.” Says Pierre Omidyar, the founder of e bay. And also Jen Welter, NFLS First female coach states thus, “If you want to be successful in this world, you have to follow your passion, not a paycheck.” And on the other hand, dear reader, keep in mind that paychecks will easily flow towards you if you put your whole effort to your passion. Don’t worry. “Those who move forward with a happy spirit will find that things will always work out.”
