The Minister of Megapolis & Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka says his Ministry has planned to implement projects worth Rs. 5 trillion in the next 10 years.
Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka has emphasized that a number of projects that could have a major impact on the economy of the country have already commenced. He made this statement while commencing official duties in the New Year on Tuesday.
Expressing his views at the occasion, Minister Ranawaka said 2019 is a year that marks an important milestone in the history of country’s politics.
“The 2019 politically is seen as a year that will make thousands turns in the country’s future. For the next 10 years, the value of the projects carried out by this Ministry is 5 trillion. As for the impact on the economy, we have successfully carried out a number of largest projects. We expect this year to focus more on small projects. We will pay more attention towards the needs of urban development. Despite whatever collisions in politics this year, the development must be moved on for the people, for the future.”
