Acting Attorney General Dappula de Livera has sworn in as Sri Lanka’s new Attorney General on Friday (10), the President’s Media Division stated.
On May 7th, the Constitutional Council, chaired by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, unanimously approved the name of Acting Attorney General Dappula de Livera as the new Attorney General.
President’s Counsel Dappula de Livera was appointed the Acting Attorney General on April 29th.
Prior to being appointed as the Acting Attorney General, he served as the Solicitor General.
