The COVID-19 vaccination card will be compulsory when entering public places from January 1st, Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said.
Minister said that the Health Ministry is in the process of taking relevant steps to implement the decision.
Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella had also told a newpaper that vaccination card will be made mandatory to visit public places from January 1st.
He pointed out that public not adhering to COVID health guidelines as the main reason to make vaccination mandatory to visit public places.
