After Government Spokesman MP Keheliya Rambukwella claimed on Tuesday (27 July) that the expense for ministers to travel to the Olympics was funded by several sponsors from the private sector.
State Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has issued a statement denying refuting the claims denying that he used the private sponsorship to travel to Tokyo Olympics and stating that he traveled to Olympics at his personal expense.
