Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa chaired a meeting with the health authorities on yesterday (10) in order to explore the possibility of burying those who died from Covid-19.
During the meeting the Prime Minister instructed authorities to identify a dry plot of land with deep groundwater levels for burials of Covid-19 victims, Prime Minister’s office said.
During the meeting health authorities informed the Prime Minister that the virus will survive for nearly 36 days in a victim’s dead body.
