Police to inspect public transport buses

Sri Lanka Police have launched a special quarantine operation to inspect public transport buses across Sri Lanka.

Bus drivers and conductors deployed for public transportation have been urged to adhere to quarantine regulations.

The Police say that they have received reports of buses violating the quarantine regulations by transporting passengers exceeding the seating capacity.

11 drivers in Colombo were arrested while their buses were seized for violating health guidelines yesterday (04).
