Police say vehicular movement near Rajagiriya has been restricted as a result of the road construction work in the area.
Police Media Spokesperson, SP Ruwan Gunesekera, said the move has resulted in heavy congestion in the area, for traffic that moves back and forth during rush hours.
Police notes that this situation may continue till next week
Police have instructed motorists who travel from Battaramulla, Malabe, Thalawathugoda, Thalangama, Athurugiriya to Colombo to use alternative routes.
