A Special Task Force (STF) officer was killed in a motorcycle accident in Anamaduwa area Monday evening.
An accident had occurred when two motorcycles collided head on at Peramakuththuwa area on Anamaduwa, Bangadeniya road.
The riders of both motorcycles were seriously injured and one of the riders succumbed to his injuries on admission to Anamaduwa Hospital.
The victim, identified as Ratnayake Mudiyanselage Prasanna Namal Ratnayake was a Police Constable attached to the Kalubowila Camp of the Special Task Force. The 31-year-old is a resident of Anamaduwa area.
Anamaduwa Police are conducting further investigations.
