The implementation of the free visa system has been delayed as it requires approval from Parliament, which is currently not in session.
Government Spokesman Minister Vijitha Herath stated that discussions are underway with the Attorney General’s Department to explore options for proceeding without a functioning Parliament.
The delay is expected to last until a solution is found or New Parliament is reconvened.(NewsWire)
