The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has proposed four actions to the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to reduce the burden on the National Grid until April.
Issuing a statement, the PUCSL said while ensuring the obligation on continuity of power supply throughout the country, every possible effort needs to be taken by the CEB to reduce the burden to the National Grid.
The Commission further said as the transmission and distribution licence holder, the CEB must take conservative initiatives to preserve the energy and capacity from February to April with minimum impact/ interruption to the daily lives of the public.
Thereby, the PUCSL has proposed four key actions to be implemented by the CEB during this period.
