The Ministry of Defense has decided to conduct a census on all firearms issued to private citizens and security agencies for protection of persons and property.
The Ministry of Defense said a census will be conducted on all firearms that have been provided for personal security, property protection and personal security agencies before issuing licenses for 2019.
The Ministry has conducted a-three day program on January 22nd, 23rd, and 24th at the ministry premises to check the census and correctness of the firearms provided to the National Rifle Association (NRA) and National Sport shooting Federation (NSSF) to issue the licenses for the year 2019.
The Ministry said all other firearms that have been provided for personal security, property protection and personal security agencies will be under go same procedure to issue licenses for year 2019 in near future.
