Prof. Kathiragamanathan Kandasamy has been appointed as the Competent Authority of the University of Jaffna, according to the administration council of the University.
Prof. Ratnam Vigneswaran was removed yesterday (07) from his post as the Vice Chancellor of University of Jaffna.
Accordingly, Prof. Kandasamy has been authorized all matters related to the university until a new vice-chancellor is appointed.
He is an award-winning professor in Physics and has made numerous contributions to various researches in the field of Physics.
Prof. Kandasamy had previously held the post of Dean of the Faculty of Physical Science.
