Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said The Ministry of Environment will ban 06 non-biodegradable items from January 2021.
Sachet packets, inflatable toys, pesticide bottles, cotton buds and other items will be banned accordingly, the Minister said.
Adding that, the measures are being taken to create polythene and the plastic-free environment in the country.
