Court has issued an order for the arrest of Eastern Province Governor Rohitha Bogollagama’s wife Deepthi Bogollagama and daughter Dilshani Bogollagama, on charges of attempted assault of a woman.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake accordingly ordered the Officer in Charge of the Cinnamon Gardens Police, to arrest the suspects promptly.
Notice had been issued for the duo to appear before Court in relation to the relevant incident.
However due to Deepthi and Dilshani Bogollagama’s failure to appear in Court for the hearing an order was subsequently issued for their immediate arrest.
