Robert Mugabe, the President of Zimbabwe has resigned from his position.
The announcement was made by Zimbabwe Parliament Speaker Jacob Mudenda, said foreign media.
An impeachment was in discussion for the 93-year-old President. The announcement was made while the lawmakers were debating the motion.

Robert Mugabe refused to resign previously, even after the country’s military takeover.
Even protests broke out against the rule of Mugabe, who has been the leader of Zimbabwe since the country’s independence in 1980.
