Eight arrested in Negombo house

Eight individuals, including a person who is alleged to have had direct connections with alleged drug dealer “Makandure Sudesh”, have been arrested.

“Makandure Sudesh” who is alleged to be a clan leader of the underworld, is also believed to be a dealer in drugs.

According to the police, the suspects were taken into custody at a house in Dagonna area, Negombo.

According to the police, they were found to be in possession of  a nine millimeter firearm, four magazines, six live ammunition, a hand grenade, a large quantity of explosives, 10.15 grams of Heroin and 940 kilos of Kerala Cannabis.

The suspects are to be handed over to the Negombo Magistrate’s Court today, December 22.
