Further to the announcement made this morning on the diesel and petrol consignments, the plan to distribute the relevant fuel has also been announced by Minister of Energy and Power Kanchana Wijesekera today (16) via a twitter post.
Accordingly, the Minister announced that a guaranteed weekly quota will be allocated for distribution, with only 1 vehicle per NIC and a QR code will be allocated once vehicle chassis number and details are verified.
He also noted that fuel will be given twice a week according to the last digit on the vehicle number plate for those fueling with QR codes.
