German Ambassador to Sri Lanka Holger Seubert says that he is impressed with the peaceful nature of the anti-government protests carried out in the country.
“I am impressed with how peaceful the proud people of Sri Lanka are exercising their right to freedom of expression” he said.
The ambassador said that It reminds him of the German reunification back in 1989 when the country experienced how powerful peaceful protests can be.
Tweeting earlier today, he also wished all parties involved, the strength to remain peaceful.
