Israeli forces shoot unarmed Palestinian male in in occupied West Bank

Israeli forces have fatally shot an unarmed Palestinian youth in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian health agency said.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Israeli soldiers and illegal Jewish settlers had opened gunfire Saturday (03 July) at Palestinian civilians in the village of Qusra, south of Nablus city in the occupied West Bank.

The late Mohammad Fareed Hasan (20) was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead a couple of minutes later, Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors colonial settlement activities in the northern West Bank, told WAFA.

Two other Palestinians were also shot and injured in the foot “while fending off an attack” the news agency reported.

An Israeli military spokesperson said soldiers had been trying to disperse confrontations between Israeli settlers and Palestinians.
