Management Science University partners with Dengue authorities to bring greater awareness

The National Dengue Control Unit and the Management and Science University jointly organised a press conference yesterday, to announce the importance of community involvement in Dengue control, future knowledge and epidemic eradicating activities.

The programme saw the participation of Professor Ali Khatibi, Vice President – Management and Science University, Malaysia, Sam Peiris, Director – Management Science Institute, Sri Lanka, Professor Ranil Dassanayake, Genetic Specialist, University of Colombo and Dr. Karthika Ramiah,Medical Superintendent.

The programme identified that the biggest gap in Sri Lanka is that institutions and responsible parties are working in isolation. The objective of the programme therefore is to improve the lost collaboration.

Another objective is to promote pro-activeness in finding solutions to national problems.

Meanwhile, the National Dengue Control Unit and the Management and Science University has organised a programme on Dengue prevention on January 20, 2018. in order to create awareness on the fatal epidemic ‘Dengue’.
