Chief Government Whip Johnston Fernando told Parliament yesterday (8) that anyone using Ministry vehicles while not holding these posts, will be held accountable.
He said this in response to a question raised by MP Mohomed Marikkar who alleged that former ministers were still using their vehicles and privileges even after resigning. Marikkar alleged that the resignation of ministers was a scam to hoodwink the public.
Minister Fernando said that the Opposition could present this question in an appropriate manner.
The Chief Government Whip said that all the ministers had resigned and this was clearly stated in the gazette notification.
