Pro Food Pro Pack & Agbiz 2019 – the most comprehensive food, beverage and packaging exhibition – will commence from today at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall – Exhibition Center.
The wide-ranged exhibition covering areas such as Agriculture, Poultry, Livestock, Floriculture and many more income generating sectors will be held for the 18th successive year from 2nd – 4th August.
The exhibition is organized by the Sri Lanka Food Processors Association together with Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (LECS).
The event is supported and endorsed by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The National Agri Business Council join hands with the organizers to provide an insight to the agri business areas.
According to the organizers, 370 stalls have been allocated for local and foreign manufacturers, which is the biggest event in the country in relation to the food, beverage, packaging and agriculture sector.
The event which has witnessed an evolutionary increase over the decades will be held under the theme “from the farm to the fork” denoting the entire chain of the food industry which includes the inception of the food which mainly revolves around farms, to the process and finally, the food table of the consumer.
With the inception of Pro Food Pro Pack in the year 2002 the objective of enhancing Sri Lanka’s Food Processing Industry benefited tremendously by way of creating a wide array of opportunities in exposing/merchandising the FPI products locally and internationally.
The exhibition is open for public from 10 am to 8 pm on August 2-4.
