The questionable values of modern day Sri Lanka

A country so modest and made on a conservative culture, Sri Lanka is known for its values and customs. Question is are these statements really put into exercise by the locals or is this merely a saying?  On 2017, Naomi Michelle Coleman a German tourist who arrived in Sri Lanka, was arrested and deported for having a Buddha tattoo on her right upper arm which had been claimed to be “objectionable” in Sri Lanka. Moreover, several youths were arrested for allegedly taking their nude photos and posting them on social media last year. Sri Lankans never fail to criticize and throw black lashes at ladies in their modern and barely clothed outfits.

Walking past a popular Buddhist national boys school and towards another Buddhist national boys school there resides a shop comprised of “world’s sexiest lingerie’s” in Colombo 7. Point is in a country so modest how come such a shop allowed to be established right around the premises where two Buddhist schools reside? How come no objections are voiced concerning a such shop of lingerie’s comprised of costumes and items for sexual activities which is rather inappropriate for the students of these respective colleges?

From morning to afternoon taught of values of Sri Lanka, and waiting for their parents and school vans outside the school facing a shop with mannequins in lingerie’s, what example does this produce to the students is of concern.

People in Sri Lanka still believe that wearing clothes exposing one’s body is not good and does not rely with the culture of this country, but dear Sri Lankans how about this lingerie’s shop that opposes the culture of this Buddhist country right in front of two national schools? Pretty sure these students were told not to and are restricted from taking a peek at movies like Fifty Shades of Grey for its pornography and danger of illusion it would cause for the young crowd. Perhaps this shop which contains such atrocious pornographical  materials opened for a peek through its glass for the young boys is not a bad idea is rather absurd but as well pathetic.
