The jeweller Razeen Sally has passed away whilst travelling in Chennai.
Apart from being for several decades the Crown Jewellers to the King and Queen of Thailand, Razeen Sally wrote himself into the Guiness Book of World Records when in 1980/81 he held the per carat price for a diamond when he purchased the ‘Polar Star’ at Christies Geneva for a then record Gbp 2.1million including buyers Premium.
His client a high ranking Saudi government official was later to say that he bought it for his wife who was then happy for all of thirty minutes!
Razeen Sally jeweller and entrepreneur and committed religous man is survived by his twin daughters and several grand children. His wife Sita ‘Saida’ Sena passed away in the mid 90’s.
