A fire engulfed several shops in the town of Divulapitiya on Sunday night. According to the police, two shops selling cloth and footwear were burned down.
No injuries have been reported from the incident so far. The damage caused to property has not been ascertained as yet. Police stated that the fire broke out around 8 p.m., has been contained.
