State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera said a special tax will be imposed on imported ready-made garments from 01 April 2021.
The Government is looking at an increase of tax from Rs. 200 to Rs. 450 through this program, he added.
The decision is being taken in order to protect the local ready-made garment industry
