Strict legal action will be taken against individuals who use the curfew permits issued to them for personal purposes, said DIG Ajith Rohana.
Several cases of persons attempting to their homes and villages using the curfew permits were reported today (12) as well, said.
DIG Rohana pointed out that using the curfew permits issued for facilitating essential services for any other purpose is illegal.
All police stations have been instructed to comply with the quarantine law against people who violate the applicable laws.
