Access Engineering successfully completes three flyovers in Sri Lanka

Access Engineering PLC, the pioneers in the flyover construction in Sri Lanka said that it successfully completed the construction of three flyovers as a solution to the heavy traffic congestion in the areas of Rajagiriya, Ganemulla, and Polgahawela, the company said in a release. Construction work on the three projects was initiated by the Road Development Authority under the Ministry of Higher Education and Highways in mid-2016 due to the heavy traffic congestion, which has long been a point of contention among daily commuters in these areas. Ganemulla flyover to be declared open today, Polgahawela flyover on 17 January

The Ganemulla flyover constructed to ease traffic congestion and delays due to frequent closure of railway gates at the level crossings will be declared open today by the Minister of Higher Education and Highways Lakshman Kiriella. Ganemulla is one of the main cities of the Gampaha district and nearly 90 trains traveling from Colombo to outstations ply pass Ganemulla railway station necessitating the closure of the rail gates frequently which causes severe traffic congestions on either side of the level crossings and delays.
