Sri Lanka’s NDB posts Profit After Tax of Rs 3.3 billion for the first 3Qs of 2017
Sri Lanka's National Development Bank PLC (NDB) reported a 64 percent growth in its Profit After Tax over the comparative period to record Rs. 3.310 billion for the nine months ended September 30, 2017.
The Bank's Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs. 5.679 billion was an increase of 61 percent over the comparative period. Continuous and consistent improvement in core banking operations of the bank over the reported three quarters and dividend income from group companies contributed towards this remarkable performance.
The PBT and PAT of the bank, excluding the group dividends grew impressively by 51 percent and 50 percent respectively, which is a clear reflection of the strong performance of the core banking operations.
