Leader of the Tamil National Alliance R Sampanthan has strongly denied that he has signed any agreements with United National Party Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Releasing a statement the TNA Leader said a document that is being widely circulated is a forgery and he has not signed such a document with the UNP leader.
“It is reported that a document signed by Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe Leader of the UNP and Myself as the Leader of the ITAK/TNA is being widely circulated. I state that I have signed no such document with the Leader of the UNP and the said document is deliberately false,” Mr. Sampanthan said in his statement.
Meanwhile, the UNP has lodged a complaint with the Police calling for an extensive investigation to be launched into the origin of the document.
