Attorneys representing TNL Television has informed court that it dismisses
all information set out by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission pertaining to sealing the transmission towers of TNL Television in Polgahawela.
Responding to the allegation that the broadcasts of other TV channels have been obstructed due to the Polgahawela transmission towers, the Attorneys said TNL Television had not been informed by the TRC regarding such an issue.
The Attorneys also called for an investigation on the Polgahawela transmission network if the broadcasts of other TV channels were hindered and also expressed their support in the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Attorneys also requested court to ensure that necessary measures will be taken for the security of the hi-tech communication equipment taken by TRC officials.
The Attorneys said the equipment will degrade quickly if proper care is not provided for the equipment.
After considering the requests made by the attorneys representing TNL TV, the Magistrate ordered the Senior Solicitor General to take measures to expedite investigations.
The case will be taken up for hearing once again on the 6th of July.
