President Maithripala Sirisena says all relevant and responsible parties must implement a combined programme to end brutal ragging from the University system.
Speaking during an event at the Bandarawela Central College, the Head of State said the cruel practice is also backed by certain power-hungry political organizations.
President Sirisena said everyone must fulfil their responsibility in order to bring up a generation of children who are to take over the future of the country.
The President also said that the government is paying more attention to such intolerable issues.
