Sri Lanka Police have commenced investigations into a parcel of narcotics received at the Central Mail Exchange in Colombo.
The police have arrested the youth who came to pick up the parcel that was sent from Mexico. The suspect is a 29-year-old resident of Palanwatta, Pannipitiya.
According to information received by the Narcotics Bureau, 502 grams of hashish was found in the parcel.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate today.
